Friday, June 6

Bronwen, a duo, performs at 6 p.m. at the Lafayette House, 75 Route 15, offering a laid-back atmosphere perfect for dinner and acoustic tunes.

Singer-songwriter Rene Avilla delivers a solo set at 7 p.m. at McQ’s Pub at Lake Lenape, 165 Andover Sparta Road, Newton.

If you’re in Sparta, local favorite Brian St. John plays 8 p.m. at Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub, 23 White Deer Plaza. Known for his thoughtful songwriting and seasoned performance style, St. John’s set promises original tunes from his four albums.

“Journeyman - A Tribute to Eric Clapton” takes over the Newton Theatre, 234 Spring St., at 8 p.m., bringing decades of Clapton’s legendary music to life in a high-energy, nationally acclaimed show. Tickets may be purchased online at skypac.org

Cap off your night in the spotlight with karaoke at O’Reilly’s Pub & Grill, 271 Spring St., Newton, starting at 9 p.m.

Saturday, June 7

Jake Roggenkamp performs an acoustic set at 10 a.m. at the Sparta Farmers Market, 89 S Sparta Ave., setting a mellow tone for your morning.

In celebration of Pride month, Cassidy Catanzaro, a Grammy-nominated songwriter and former frontwoman of all-female rock band Antigone Rising, brings her powerful voice to Blue Arrow Farm, 86 Glenwood Road, Pine Island, N.Y., at 3 p.m.

At 4 p.m., Rick Barth provides rock vibes at Angry Erik Brewing, 2 Camre Drive, Newton.

Nick Keena offers a singer-songwriter set at 6 p.m. at the Lafayette House.

John Murphy plays a solo set at McQ’s Pub at 7 p.m., and the Poor Horsemen take the stage at Milk Street Distillery, 1 Milk St., Branchville, at the same time, delivering classic honky-tonk and original country rooted in tradition.

Wind down the night with Chris Perelli performing acoustic favorites at 9 p.m. at O’Reilly’s.

Sunday, June 8

The Artist Emergency Relief Fundraiser begins at 2 p.m. at the Stanhope House, 45 Main St. The event, hosted by the North Jersey Blues Society, features blues powerhouses, including Big Frank and Mike Smith, Bob Lanza Blues Band, Mechanic Street Blues Project and Robert Hill Band, all coming together to support fellow musicians in need.

Brian St. John performs again at 2:30 p.m. at Angry Erik Brewing, offering a set full of acoustic rock, folk and alternative influences.

Wednesday, June 11

Danny C’s Hot Rod Cruise Night & Concert Series returns with the band High Strung at Blue Arrow Farm. Doors open at 4 p.m.

Join Ray Sikora for karaoke night at 6:30 p.m. at the Homestead Rest, 294 N. Church Road, Sparta, where the crowd is always welcoming and the mic is open.

Thursday, June 12

The Homestead Rest hosts an acoustic open mic night at 6 p.m., with sign-ups beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Felix and the Cats bring their rock-infused sound to Blue Arrow Farm also at 6 p.m.

John Cain delivers an engaging set of acoustic rock, pop and country-laced originals at 6:30 p.m. at Krogh’s.

At 8 p.m., the Newton Theatre presents a rare collaboration as Peter Rowan & the Sam Grisman Project take the stage. Inspired by the musical bond between Jerry Garcia and David Grisman, this performance celebrates timeless acoustic roots music and the next generation carrying the torch.
