SUSSEX COUNTY-The Sussex County YMCA has established the Caring Clanci Memorial Scholarship in memory of Nanci "Clanci" Teitelbaum. The scholarship will be used to provide financial assistance for programs and memberships at the Y. Teitelbaum worked at the Sussex County YMCA in Hardyston since 2003. She was highly regarded among the staff for her caring personality and selfless acts of giving. As recently as a few weeks ago she had decided to undergo training at the Red Cross to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina, and she shared with friends her thoughts of allowing some of the victims to come and live at her home. "Clanci will truly be missed at the YMCA," said Kurt Haas, executive director of the Sussex County YMCA. "I can only hope that in some small way this scholarship will help carry on her legacy as someone who always went above and beyond the call of duty to help others." Donations are now being accepted for the Caring Clanci Memorial Scholarship. For information call 973-209-9622.
