Yes, Virginia there is a Sugar Loaf

How dreary would be the world if there were no Sugar Loaf. No artists or crafters, no “mom & pops” or Main Streets. Nothing but big-box stores and malls to adorn our beautiful county. The charming light with which artisans fill the hamlet would be extinguished. Not believe in Sugar Loaf! You might as well not believe in the a place where you can still get handmade goods like soaps, candles or jewelry. It would mean the end to performing arts, hand crafted leather goods, potters and photographers. No colorful artwork to make tolerable a dreary gray existence. Yes, Virginia there is a Sugar Loaf! And it exists only when the people believe in their hearts that they should support it. It lives since 1730 and is a historical symbol of the American craft renaissance. And it survives to make glad the hearts of alternative shoppers.
