Hardyston — For those who like the water and enjoy working with children, the Sussex County YMCA is offering classes in water safety instruction. This course, and its American Red Cross certification, is a requirement for people who want to work at area lakes and pools teaching swim lessons. The YMCA also makes available to its students an extensive list of aquatic jobs available in the area. The four-day water safety instructor course runs from Thursday, June 24 through Sunday, June 27. Participants must be at least 16 by the last day of the course and are required to attend each day (Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.). The course costs $355 for YMCA members and non-members $405. Space is limited. For more information and a registration form, visit ww.sussexcountyymca.org.
