Worthy cause

Matthew and Kaitlyn Bennett of Vernon supported an Alex’s Lemonade Stand for childhood cancer research held at Supercuts in Boonton recently. Claire Buesser, right, of Boonton serves them. The stand was held in memory of Laura Stiles of Boonton Township who died from the childhood cancer neuroblastoma in 2006. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that evolved from the front-yard lemonade stand of a young cancer patient, Alexandra Scott, to a nationwide fundraising movement for childhood cancer.
