Volunteers rehab landscaping at PAL building for Earth Day

    Vernon — In honor of Earth Day, Countryside Landscaping, under the direction of owner Jay Meerendonk, has organized a PLANET Day of Service for Thursday, April 22 at the Vernon Police Athletic League. The beautificaton project is funded through donations from the following local Vernon businesses: Countryside Landscaping, Aspen Companies, Mel-Vics Creations, Heaven Hill Farm, Valley Mason, Baldwin Sand and Gravel, Little Anthony’s Pizza and Richard J. Cosh Excavating. Each of those companies will donate products that will be used in the project, which includes building and designing a new walkway, redesigning the current landscape and adding new flower beds to the front of the building.
