VERNON POLICE

Oct. 21 At 5:56 p.m., Vernon Police received an anonymous phone call reporting an adult male either sleeping or passed out in a vehicle with its engine running in the sports field parking lot at Vernon Crossing Road. Investigation at the scene, including several sobriety tests conducted by Officer Shaun Fitzgerald, resulted in the arrest of Thomas E. Dehn, 51, of the Glenwood section of Vernon Township for drunk driving. Dehn’s 1997 GMC pickup truck was towed and held for 12 hours to satisfy the requirements of John’s Law. Dehn was released pending an Oct. 27 Vernon Township Municipal court appearance.
