Underage drinking is topic

Vernon — The township will hold a Town Hall meeting on Thursday, April 15 to raise community awareness and encourage action to prevent underage drinking. Vernon is one the 2,000 community coalitions nationwide that received a stipend from the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration to hold this event. The event will be held at the Vernon Police Athletic League Building on Church Street starting at 7 p.m. It will be an interactive event with participation, speakers, video, snacks, door prizes and free T-shirts for the first 20 people to enter the meeting.
