Hackettstown - Centenary College and Drew University will join forces for a fundraiser for the 2009 Centenary College Relief Project on Friday, Oct. 2, at the Minebrook Golf Club. Funds raised will underwrite the 2010 Disaster Relief effort, which will take place in January. Each January, since 2006 students, faculty and staff from Centenary and Drew have spent a week in and around New Orleans helping people rebuild their homes and lives after Hurricane Katrina. In January 2010, volunteers from Centenary and Drew will again travel to a region struck by disaster. The destination has not yet been finalized; they are currently investigating locations where they can be the most effective. The golf classic will be the major fundraiser for the project. Registration is at 10 a.m. and the event starts at noon. For information, call Norman Cetuk at 908-852-1400.
