Team Project Self-Sufficiency joins Race for the Cure

    Newton — Project Self-Sufficiency invites area residents to join Team Project Self-Sufficiency in the second annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, a 5K Run/Walk at Bound Brook Park in Essex County on Sunday, April 26. For those who need transportation, the agency has chartered a bus which will leave the Newton campus at 7:15 a.m. The bus ride is free and open to the public, but registration is required. A 1.5 mile Fun Walk is also available for those who find the 5K Walk too challenging. For the youngsters, the event will feature a special “Kids for the Cure” area with musical entertainment, sports, arts and crafts.
