Take action to improve finances

    SPARTA — The Sussex County Coalition for Financial Education will host the workshop ”Saving, Investing, and Surviving in Tough Times” on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sparta Presbyterian Church. Dr. Barbara On’Neill, author, professor and financial expert, will offer an interactive presentation addressing all the tools to become an effective saver in this difficult economic climate. Topics include: saving strategies, savings goals, savings obstacles, savings methods, employer savings, expense reduction, education planning and future planning. Participants will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win WalMart gift cards.
