SUSSEX COUNTY PROSECUTOR'S REPORT
Oct. 9 Tamarri Valentine, 24, of Bronx, New York, was sentenced to 97 days in jail and one year probation. Valentine pled guilty on Aug. 10, 2009 to terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, both third degree crimes. On July 5, 2009 in Hardyston Township, Valentine admitted he got into a physical altercation with another male, pushed him to the ground, held a knife to his face and threatened to kill him. Randy J. Doty, 27, of Westtown, N.Y., was sentenced to four years probation and 200 hours of community service. Doty pled guilty on Aug. 3, 2009 to two third degree counts of theft. On Feb. 24, 2009 and May 6, 2009, the defendant stole a total of 26 kayaks from a business in Wantage. He confessed to stealing the merchandise and attempting to sell the kayaks on the Internet. Marcey Pieretti, 28, of Yardville, was sentenced to 180 days in jail. Pieretti pled guilty on Sept. 23, 2009 to one count of fourth degree joyriding. She admitted to being a passenger in a car that she knew had been stolen. The incident was investigated by the Hamburg Police Department. John M. Leonard, 21, of Hopatcong was sentenced to three years probation and $155 in fines. He pled guilty on Aug. 17, 2009 to the third degree crime of receiving stolen property. He admitted to pawning stolen property on the behalf of another individual which had a value over $500. Oct. 13 Joseph B. Mills, 44, of Hopatcong, pled guilty to assault, a third degree crime. Sentencing is anticipated for December. Oct. 14 Stephen T. McHugh, 31, of Maybrook, N.Y., was sentenced to 180 days jail, credit for 107 days, DNA sample, fines and costs of $405. He pled guilty on Aug. 3, 2009, to two counts violations of community supervision for life, a fourth degree crime, and one count of obstruction of justice, a disorderly persons offense. Christopher T. Trosky, 22, of Wharton, was sentenced to three years probation with special conditions of 270 days in jail (97 days credit), mental health evaluation and follow recommendations, fines and costs of $155, and to submit DNA sample. He pled guilty on Aug. 10, 2009, to fraudulent use of credit card, a third degree crime.
