    July 27 Jennifer S. Schreiber, 27, of Wantage pled guilty to the third crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. She admitted to possessing a bag of heroin on May 12 at her home. Wendy L. Mittelstadt, 25, of Mt. Arlington pled guilty to the third crime of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. She admitted to distributing cocaine to an undercover A.B.C. investigator on Feb. 19 while she was working as dancer at Ray’s Inn in Andover Township. Daniel J. Vanorden, 25, of Hamburg, was sentenced to three years drug court probation, 90 days SLAP, outpatient substance abuse treatment and $1,205 in fines. He pled guilty on June 30 to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was found to be in possession of 27 bags of heroin in Newton on March 12 during the execution of a search by the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force. Nicole A. Linfoot, 20, of Franklin pled guilty to the third crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. She admitted to possessing a OxyContin tablet without a prescription on May 31, 2008 in Franklin. July 30 Berry M. Rouse, Jr, 21, of Wantage pled guilty to one count of fourth degree sexual contact. He admitted that between July 14, 2008 and December 2, 2008 he had contact with the intimate parts of a victim between the age of 13 and 16. July 31 Brett E. Vanderhoof, 29, of Boonton was sentenced to five years probation, was ordered to serve 270 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility and was given credit for 31 days served. He was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations made and must pay restitution in the amount of $5,500 joint and several. He must pay total fines and penalties of $155 and submit a DNA sample at his expense. He pled guilty on May 8 to theft, a fourth degree crime, and to a violation of probation. On Oct. 22, 2008, Vanderhoof and two codefendants removed a trailer with 750 gallons of diesel fuel in it from a work site in Hardyston Township. As he was on probation at the time of this offense, his sentencing included that violation of probation. Lenny L. Syfor, 23, of Newton was sentenced to four years probation and 306 days in county jail with 306 days credit. He must have no contact with the victim or family and no unsupervised contact with minors under 16 years of age. He is barred from the Newton High Rise. He must engage in out-patient counseling, maintain employment, submit his DNA and pay fines and court costs of $155. He pled guilty on June 16 to one count of child abuse, a fourth degree crime. On August 10, 2008 the defendant had a minor under the age of 16 touch him inappropriately. Robert J. Douglass, 33, of Vernon was sentenced to one year probation to run concurrent but not coterminous to a probationary sentence he is presently serving. He must pay restitution in the amount of $650, pay total fines and penalties of $155 and submit a DNA sample at his expense. He pled guilty on June 16 to receiving stolen property, a fourth degree crime. On Sept. 17, 2006 in Vernon, he bought a log splitter that he knew had been stolen and sold it to someone else. Kelly M. Willard, 29, of Hopatcong was sentenced to four years probation and 75 days of the Sheriff’s Labor Assistance Program. In addition, she must pay restitution to her victims. Willard pled guilty on Dec. 17, 2008 to two counts of third degree fraud, two counts of third degree forgery and third degree issuing a bad check. She admitted to issuing a check to the Franklin Sussex Auto Mall for car repairs, knowing that she had insufficient funds to cover the payment. In a separate incident, while employed as an independent carrier for the New Jersey Herald, she used the New Jersey Herald’s checking account to pay several of her personal bills. Aug. 3 Russell McAdams. 26, of East Stroudsburg, Penn. pled guilty to theft, a third degree crime. McAdams had previously been enrolled in the PreTrial Intervention Program with respect to the charge, but was terminated from the program for non-compliance prior to the entry of his guilty plea. On April 3, 2004 in Newton, during the course of a motor vehicle stop, the defendant admitted to police that he had stolen the vehicle he was driving from the parking lot of the Newton Theater parking lot. Randy J. Doty. 27, of Westtown, New York pled guilty to two counts of theft, both third degree crimes. On Feb. 24 and May 6 the defendant stole a total of 26 kayaks from a business in Wantage. He confessed to stealing the merchandise and attempting to sell the kayaks on the internet. Steven McHugh, age 31, formerly of Newton entered a guilty plea to an accusation charging him with two counts of the fourth degree charge of violating the terms of his Community Supervision For Life and one count of the disorderly persons offense of obstruction of the administration of law. McHugh, a previously convicted sex offender, was ordered by the court to comply with the terms of Community Supervision for Life. McHugh admitted to the court that on or about June 29 he violated the terms of his Community Supervision for Life by failing to reside at an address approved by his parole office and that he had failed to refrain from the purchase, possession or use of alcohol. Ian Mandt, age 20, of Hopatcong, pled guilty to aggravated assault, a fourth degree crime and possession of a knife for an unlawful purpose, a third degree offense. Mandt admitted that on or about Dec. 1, 2008, he was in possession of a pocket knife when he recklessly caused injury to an adult male relative during the course of a domestic violence incident. Nicholas Meade, 20, of Vernon, was sentenced to 30 days, with credit for two days previously served in the Sussex County Jail, 15 days of which are to be served on the Sheriff’s Labor Assistance Program and three years probation. He must also obtain employment and pay court costs, as well as $294 in restitution. Meade pled guilty on June 26 to two counts of fraudulent use of credit cards, crimes of the third degree and theft of less than $500. He admitted to double swiping customer credit cards and keeping the money for himself while employed as a gas attendant at GRM Automotive. In a separate incident, he admitted to stealing money from the Vernon Dunkin Donuts while employed there. Aug. 4 Peter C. Fawcett, 33, of Sussex pled guilty to third degree eluding, driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance. He admitted to driving an ATV along Route 23 while intoxicated and fleeing police, tailgating and passing cars illegally when he saw a state trooper in the parking lot of the Wantage Quick Chek. Once apprehended, he was found to be under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of .21 percent.
