Aug.3 Ian Skinner, 46, of Newton was sentenced to four years state prison of which 13 months must be served without parole and $2,205.00 in fines. He pled guilty on June 24 to two counts of third degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a school. He admitted to facilitating the distribution of heroin in his apartment on Spring Street in Newton on Jan. 22 and Feb. 4.. His apartment is within 1,000 feet of St. Joseph’s Elementary School. Aug. 4 Michael R. Scalici, 20, of Vernon pled guilty to two counts of third degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing small amounts of heroin in Vernon Township on May 29 and June 22. Aug. 5 Douglas L. Green, 45 of Newton, was sentenced to four years in New Jersey State Prison with credit for 427 days time served. In addition, he must submit his DNA and pay $380 in court costs and fines. Green pled guilty on June 2 to two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a second degree crime. Between June 13, 2004 through June 13, 2005 the defendant admitted to causing harm to two minor children. Aug. 6 Tracey A. Frazee, age 43, of Hopatcong was indicted with third degree attempt to obtain CDS by fraud, third degree forgery and fourth degree unsworn falsification to authorities. The grand jury alleges that on or about Sept. 2, 2008 in the Borough of Hopatcong, the defendant attempted to get three prescriptions filled that she had altered by changing the dates on them. When she was unsuccessful, she made a false report to the Hopatcong Police Department that her prescription scripts had been stolen. A second indictment charges Frazee with eluding, a crime of the second degree.. That indictment alleges that on or about April 16 in the Borough of Hopatcong, Patrolman VanHouten, after being advised of a possible intoxicated person getting into a vehicle, attempted to pull her over several times but the defendant continued to drive in an erratic manner until reaching her residence, where she was arrested. James H. Post, 30, of Dingmans Ferry, Penn. was indicted with criminal mischief, a third degree crime. The grand jury alleges that on or about May 16, 2007 in Hopatcong Borough, the defendant damaged a vehicle belonging to his girlfriend after learning that it was going to be repossessed for failure to make payments. Gabriel May, 35, of Franklin was indicted with absconding from parole, a third degree crime. The grand jury alleges that on dates between September 17, 2008 and November 14, 2008 the defendant, while under parole supervision, left the State of New Jersey to avoid parole supervision. Eric T. Mills, 31, of Jackson was indicted with one count of attempted endangering the welfare of a child by engaging in sexually explicit computer conversations with what he believed to be a minor, a third degree crime; one count of attempted luring of a minor, a third degree offense; and one count of attempt to engage in prostitution with a person under the age of 18, a third degree offense. The case was investigated by Det. David Perez-Rueda of the Sussex County Prosecutors Office and Det. Sean Talt of the Vernon Township Police Department. Both detectives are members of the Sussex County High Tech Crimes Unit and are members of the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Corey Lightbody, 21, of Barneget was indicted with one count of attempted sexual assault, a second degree crime; four counts of attempt to send obscenities to minors, a third degree crime; four counts of attempted endangering the welfare of a child by sending obscenities to minors, a third degree crime; three counts endangering the welfare of a child for engaging in sexually explicit computer chat with what he believed to be a minor; and four counts of attempted criminal sexual contact, a fourth degree crime. Christoff Stonebrink, 22 and Steven Wachtel, 20, both of Oak Ridge, and Kyle Senatore, 20, of Wharton were indicted with second degree burglary and two counts of third degree criminal mischief. The grand jury alleges that on or about Dec. 27, 2008 in Hardyston Township the three defendants broke the door of a residence to gain entry, got involved in a physical altercation with other house guests and then damaged the residence and a vehicle. Aug. 7 Shannon McNamara, 48, of Newton, was sentenced to three years probation, $1,205 in fines, outpatient mental health treatment and a six month loss of driver’s license. She pled guilty on June 22 to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. She admitted to possessing a small amount of heroin in Newton on Dec. 1, 2008. John Space, 29, of Sussex, was sentenced to three years state prison, $205 in fines and a one year loss of driver’s license. He pled guilty on June 15 to the third degree crime of theft from a person. He admitted to stealing a purse from a shopping cart in the A&P parking lot on May 2. Barid Thornton, 58, of Newton, was sentenced to five years in state prison with two and one half years of stipulated parole ineligibility. Thornton was given 79 days credit. $380 in penalties and assessments were imposed. Thornton pled guilty to theft, a third degree crime and aggravated assault, a third degree crime for an incident that occurred in Newton on March 7. Aug. 10 Tamarri Valentine, 23, of Bronx, New York pled guilty to terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, both crimes of the third degree. On July 5 in Hardyston Township, Valentine got into a physical altercation with another male, pushed him to the ground, held a knife to his face and threatened to kill him. He gave a statement to police admitting his actions. Christopher T. Trosky, 21, of Wharton pled guilty to fraudulent use of a credit card, a third degree crime. On June 28, 2009 in Hopatcong, Trosky stole a credit card from a residence and then used it to charge merchandise at various stores. He gave a statement to police admitting his actions.
