Student musicians put on their spring musical concerts

    Vernon — Glen Meadow Middle School will present its Spring Concerts On Tuesday, May 11, and Wednesday, May 12. The firs half of its two-part spring series features the seventh-grade chorus and the orchestra. The second event, featured performing groups will be the eighth-grade choir, eighth-grade wind ensemble and Glen Meadow concert band. The seventh-grade chorus will perform a special music piece to honor all veterans from every branch of the Armed Forces. Glen Meadow would like to invite all veterans to attend our concert and be recognized for their service to our country. Admission for veterans and their families is free. Carnations will be given to the first 24 veterans, courtesy of Highland Flowers. Both concerts will begin at 7 p.m. in the all-purpose room. Admission for others is: $2 for adults; $1 for students and senior citizens. Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Looking ahead On Wednesday, June 2, Glen Meadow will hold its annual Small Ensemble Concert beginning at 7 p.m.
