Wallkill Valley bowlers earn awards

Ryan Scholz and Amber Lora of the Wallkill Valley Regional High School bowling team were among many student-athletes who received awards for their performances during the 2013-14 season.

Lora received the coach’s award for her hard work and dedication to the sport. In just one year she improved her average 43 pins, making her one of the top female bowlers in NJAC North.

Scholz received the Most Valuable Player award. His dedication to the sport has landed him all the team high’s for the second year in a row. With a high average of 195, high game of 267 and high series of 677.

They both helped lead the team to a second place finish at the state sectionals, advancing them to compete in the Tournament of Champions. As they approach their senior year look out for more outstanding achievements from these two exceptional athletes.
