Stanhope's Brian Davenport paced a pack of 15 local residents to the finish of the 3rd Annual Academy of the Most Blessed Sacrament Jingle Bell 5K Run in Franklin Lakes on Saturday, December 4.

    Davenport completed the USATF certified 3.1-mile rolling and fast loop through scenic residential neighborhoods, crossing the line 27th in a field of 412 runners. He was clocked in 19:39. Sparta's 20-year old Julia Jansen was the first local distaff runner to cross the line, placing 86th out of the 169 females in the event. She was timed in 29:42. Patrick Phalon, an 18-year old from Oak Ridge, was runnerup in the boys; 15 to 19-year old age division, posting a clocking of 19:54.
