Lenape Valley runs past Wallkill Valley

Lenape Valley Regional High School defeated Wallkill Valley Regional High School in varsity football on Friday, Sept. 22, by a 19-7 score.
Lenape Valley controlled Wallkill Valley throughout the first half. The Lenape Valley Patriots held a 12-0 lead over the Wallkill Valley Rangers at halftime. Wallkill Valley managed to get on the scoreboard in the second half but could not contain Lenape Valley's running backs.
Cole Robertson had 16 carries for 115 yards and a two-yard touchdown run for Lenape Valley. Brandon Brady had 10 carries for 92 yards and a five-yard touchdown run for Lenape Valley. Brady also went 1-for-3 on extra points. Troy DuPont had six carries for 74 yards and a 3-yard touchdown run for Lenape Valley.
Lenape Valley will attempt to keep the momentum going when they play Mountain Lakes High School in Morris County, New Jersey on Friday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m.
Wallkill Valley will try to taste victory for the first time this season when they take on Whippany Park High School at home on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m.
