SUCCASUNNA — Jefferson Township High School defeated Roxbury High School, 63-49, in boys varsity basketball on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016.
The contest was part of the last day of the Roxbury Holiday Classic which featured several high school teams.
Also on Saturday, Sparta High School earned the Roxbury Holiday Classic championship trophy. The Sparta Spartans beat the Newton Braves, 40-34. Sparta senior Nick Lucas was awarded the Most Valuable Player plaque.
Jefferson lost 58-43 to Newton on Dec. 27 and beat Warren Hills, 54-38, on Dec. 28.
