Ballyowen edges out Wild Turkey to regain championship

Hamburg. On Nov. 4 Ballyowen Golf Club hosted the 24th annual Crystal Springs Resort Cup, where employees represent their home course and complete to become Champions of the Resort. In 2017, 2018, and 2019, the team from Wild Turkey laid claim to the large Employee Cup trophy, prominently displayed in the pro shop. Before that the cup had resided at Ballyowen for consecutive seasons. With a winning score of 18 under par, Ballyowen edged out Wild Turkey (-17) to regain their champion status and return the trophy to the host course for the first time in four years. Awards were also given out to Long Drive Winner, Tyler Borkowski; Men’s Closest-to-the-Pinner Winner; Joe Mackey; and Women’s Closest-to-the-Pinner Winner Sandy Dignan. The Ballyowen winning team included Jaime Connolly, Pat Connolly, Pat Graham, Daryl Sittinger, Marc Posey, Kevin Ferrick, Sandy Dignan, and Pat Weiss.
