Spaghetti dinner for Haiti a robust success

On behalf of Christ Community Church and the Vernon Clergy Association I would like to express grateful thanks to all who participated in the Spaghetti Dinner for Haiti Relief on Saturday, Feb. 27 at St. Thomas’ Church in Vernon, either by helping, contributing or being present to express concern for the people of Haiti. There were many who worked together to make this event a great success. All funds collected will be going to Haiti relief. A special vote of thanks goes to the businesses who donated materials and food items for the dinner: The Copy Center, Highland Flowers and Gifts, Sussex County Meat, the Holland-American Bakery, the Vernon A&P and the Weis Market in Franklin. Appreciation is also expressed to the area churches which banded together to create this tangible expression of concern: Faith with Love Fellowship at the McAfee Bible Church, Glenwood Baptist Church, Holy Counselor Lutheran Church, Our Lady of Fatima Church, St. Francis de Sales Church and St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, which generously provided the venue. Many thanks to all who came, enjoyed the meal and donated graciously to this good cause. Roger F. Spence, Pastor Christ Community Church Highland Lakes
