Solar panel pre-construction training available

Newton — Continuing Education at Sussex County Community College will offer a Solar Panel Pre-Construction Training course, beginning Monday, April 26. The course will meet for 20 sessions for a total of 144 hours and will be a combination of in-class and hands-on training to prepare attendees for the high demand of workers needed in the green energy field. In addition, the training covers basic work readiness, technical installation and OSHA safety standards. The course qualifies for unemployment grants and other financial assistance and employment assistance is available after completion.
