Singing in New Orleans

The Concert Choir of the Children’s Chorus of Sussex County (CCSC) recently traveled to New Orleans to perform as the featured choir in the 10th Annual Crescent City Choral Festival. Along with CCSC, 10 other choirs from around the country participated in the festival under the direction of Cheryl Dupont. Special guest artist, composer/conductor Bob Chilcott, also directed the group. He was commissioned to compose a piece for the festival to be performed by all the choirs at the festival’s celebration concert at St. Louis Cathedral. Some CCSC choristers were also featured on a local radio station, singing one of the songs which the collective choral group performed at the celebration concert.
