Shortway is ‘a man of his word'

I would like to say a few words about Harry Shortway, candidate for Vernon Township Council. I have known Harry for 30 years, and in that time I have found him to be an honest, energetic and an extremely motivated and dedicated individual. Whenever Harry puts his mind to doing something, he will give 110 percent effort to that cause, and you can rest assured that before Harry casts a single vote as a councilman, he will have done his research and vote only in the best interests of the residents of Vernon. Harry is also dedicated father, husband and coach, and has spent thousands of hours coaching hundreds of children from Vernon. Harry has a no-nonsense approach to coaching, and I know he will bring this attitude with him to our town council. I have been a resident and taxpayer of Vernon for 17 years, and I have seen more than a few empty promises made by candidates who did not deliver on what they promised. Harry is a man of his word, and when he makes a promise or commitment, you can be sure he will deliver on that promise. In these days of political scandals on the national and local level, it is very easy to understand voter apathy with the election process.
