Scouting report useful for home buyers

They spoke with future brides and grooms, along with their family and friends, about the importance of buying their first home. They offered a hands-on demonstration of the “Home Buyers Scouting Report,” allowing the attendees to search on the free Web site. Using the report gives a young couple just beginning their future together an opportunity to search for a home at their leisure. Whether looking to move in three months or three years, the Home Buyers Scouting Report is a great24-hour Web search for finding a home, accordingto Chiapperino and Miller. Only a handful of real estate agents are certified in the use of the report. Chiapperino and Miller said buyers who use their service, via the scouting report, gain a better knowledge of the home market. In addition to buyers logging onto the Web site, they also recommend that sellers log on to search for a home to relocate to. “Even if someone has already gone through the home buying process, the move to a new home is just as frightening,” said Chapperino, a full-time residential real estate agent. “Many sellers now have a family to move, and the neighborhood is important to them. By using the Home Buyers Scouting Report, it eases their mind for the future move.” Both agents said the report is another way of bringing buyers to sellers. When they list a house, they want their sellers to know they are actively seeking buyers for that home. The report is a convenient way to help both sides close a deal. Sherry Mudrick, a resident of Barry Lakes, used the report before putting her home on the market. She said it not only found the home she now lives in, it also allowed her to properly price her previous Highland Lakes home. Having knowledge of the real estate prices in her area allowed her and her family to list at the right price, resulting in a quick sale, and to offer the right price on her purchase.
