Saint Clare's adds an ambulance
Hospital responds to community needs by adding a 24/7 ambulance Sussex Saint Clare’s Health System has added its second Advanced Life Support (ALS) (Medic 54) ambulance, which will operate around the clock. In addition to these two ALS units, the hospital has an additional Basic Life Services (BLS) unit operating in Sussex that was recently moved from Morris County to help meet the growing demand in Sussex County. “Saint Clare’s has served the Sussex community with ALS services since 1990,” said Les Hirsch, CEO of Saint Clare’s Health System. “We have observed a growing need for another ALS vehicle, one that would operate day and night. Starting in January, we will be able to fill this void in the community while reaching more people than ever before.” The three Saint Clare’s ambulances will be strategically based in Lafayette, in an effort to serve the entire county in a timely and efficient manner. “With the Saint Clare’s ED 30 Minutes Door-to-Doctor Program’ already in place, the installment of the third ambulance further displays our commitment to helping the people of Sussex County receive the best possible medical care,” said Hirsch.
