Ricker Family grateful for community support after tornado

| 22 Feb 2012 | 09:41

The entire Ricker Family would like to express our gratitude to our local fire departments, area road departments, the New Jersey Forest Service, Wantage Township committee members and Mayor and county and state elected officials, members of the NJ Department of Agriculture, and friends and neighbors for all the help and support received in the aftermath of the EF2 tornado that struck our property on July 29. The tornado did considerable damage to our farm buildings, uprooted and split trees, tore off parts of the roof of the home. There are too many people to mention individually and thank you is so inadequate... though we greatly appreciate and thank everyone who gave us a hand in its many forms. For their physical labor, use of equipment, meals, encouragement, phone calls, monetary gifts and especially prayers that were showered upon us. Additionally, we want to thank the Sussex County Board of Agriculture for their coordination and support of fundraising efforts towards re-building our family farm. A special thank you to my 4-H’ers, the Wantage Sewing & Cooking club, for their support and fund raising efforts. And to all who want to remain anonymous in their generosity and support — we humbly thank you. God bless you all and thanks again for everything. Joy & Doug Ricker Sr. & Family Wantage
