One would think that education would be one of the state’s top-funded priorities, yet it is one of the most underfunded items in the state’s budget. I am completing my second term as a board member with Franklin Elementary School and I am looking to serve another three-year term. To do this, I will need the community’s help. The six years that I have served on the school board have been very rewarding. I am running for re-election to see that the children of our community continue to get the best possible education afforded to them. We continue to bring in new technologies and educational programs to enhance the learning experience while still being fiscally responsible to the school district’s taxpayers. While my name will be last on this year’s ballot, I hope voters will make it their first choice.
