NEWTON This March, which is celebrated nationwide as Red Cross Month, the Sussex County Chapter of the American Red Cross kicked off its Heroes for the American Red Cross Campaign, led by Robert Nicholson III, president of Eastern Propane, and co-chaired by Red Cross supporter and former Freeholder Director Glen Vetrano. Some “heroes” have already begun the work of raising funds on behalf of the American Red Cross. “Hero” Wayne Yahm positioned himself along with Sophomore Nick Foulds and his father Nate, at the entrance to the school cafeteria at Wallkill Valley Regional High School during a Feb. 28 Regional Wrestling Tournament. Yahm participated in last year’s Heroes Campaign and used the same venue to raise funds for the Red Cross.
