Sussex County — Norwescap's Child and Family Resource Services of Sussex, Warren, and Hunterdon counties sent an invitation, along with a commemorative pin, inviting all licensed child care centers and registered family child care providers to an open house in appreciation for their care of young children. Light refreshments were served, and attendees received a Sesame Street CD set "Songs from the Street" and a book titled "Caring for Our Children." Those of you who were unable to stop by during the open house are encouraged to pick up their gifts at the Child and Family Resource Services office, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday. All licensed child care centers and family child care providers were entered into a raffle for a beautiful basket worth more than $200. The Sussex County winners were Sandra Poots from Blessed Beginnings in Sparta, and Michelle Melgarejo, also of Sparta. The event was a way to thank the childcare providers, teachers, and educators for their hard work and dedication year round.
