Program for parents teaches about drugs

    Sussex — A program geared for parents to understand about illicit drug use will be held Wednesday, March 3 at the Sussex Middle School from 7 to 9 p.m. Navigating the Teen Years is a program put on by the Sussex County Coalition for Healthy & Safe Families, and the Center for Prevention and Counseling. Sponsored by the Wantage Township and the Sussex-Wantage School District, the evening presentations aim to inform parents about the prevalence of drug use in the area and to arm them with information and tools. Speakers will include a youth in recovery, a substance abuse counselor, a law enforcement officer and a prevention specialist, all focusing on the Sussex-Wantage area.
