NMH presents course for healthcare providers

    NEWTON — The Healthcare Provider Course, a two-day course in basic life support (BLS) for healthcare providers whose jobs place them in the position of having to perform CPR, will be offered on consecutive Saturdays, September 17 and September 24, at the Milford Health and Wellness, 111 East Catharine Street, Milford, Pa. The course will include adult one- and two-rescuer adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), pediatric CPR and rescue breathing. Newton Memorial hosts adult CPR for family SPARTA — The Family and Friends Adult CPR course, a one-day course for individuals who would like to learn adult one-rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) will be held tonight (Thursday), September 15, at The Sparta Health and Wellness, 89 Sparta Ave., Sparta, The class, which will also focus on foreign body airway obstruction (choking), will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The fee for the course is $20. "Heartsaver" adult CPR course at NMH NEWTON — A one-day course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for lay rescuers expected to provide CPR in the workplace will be held Wednesday, September 21, at Newton Memorial Hospital, 175 High Street, Newton. The Heartsaver adult CPR course will focus on one-rescuer CPR and foreign body airway obstruction (choking), and will also review the use of barrier devices and include a written exam.
