Nine at Pope John XXIII EARN Commended Student' honors

Nine Pope John XXIII High School have received honors as National Merit Program commended students. They are: Julianne Basile, Ivanna Bond, Michael Grinthal, John Lodge, Megan Murdock, Selena Noel, Christopher Patterson, Jacob Sutherland and Dillon White. These students were among the approximately 34,000 commended students throughout the nation being recognized for their “exceptional academic promise.” They placed in the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2010 competition by taking the 2008 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
