Mountain Creek boosts Vernon PAL
VERNON-For the past five years, Mountain Creek and the Vernon PAL have joined forces to help fund youth and family programs, raising over $25,000 last year alone. This year, the goal is to raise close to $30,000 through the annual Mountain Creek Season Pass Sale at the PAL. The Vernon PAL has the largest after-school ski program among any group at Mountain Creek, with over 400 local children participants, age 7 - 18. The Vernon PAL will offer season passes for $189 for youth and seniors, and $239 for adults. The season pass sale, and sign up for the Ski and Snowboard Club will be held at the PAL building, 21 Church St., on: Tuesday, Oct. 11 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 9:30 a.mm - 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19 6 p.mm - 8:30 p.m. "The Vernon PAL is very happy to join forces with Mountain Creek to provide residents the lowest price on season passes, while getting a percentage from Mountain Creek in return," said Pat Seger, assistant director of the Vernon PAL. "This has been a great fundraiser for Vernon PAL." Charles Blier, vice President and general manger, Mountain Creek, added, "Mountain Creek is proud to partner with PAL and Pat Seger, both true leaders in youth participation sports for Vernon kids of all ages."
