SPARTA—Students in the kindergarten class at Rev. George A. Brown Memorial School were treated to a special science presentation this week. T. J., the "Mad Scientist" came to their classroom to show students how to have fun with science experiments. The students learned about a vortex, experimented with dry ice, and used a vacuum to move an egg in and out of the small opening of a beaker. The class, by contributing the most trays to the school's Tricky Tray fundraiser in March, won this event as a prize. Reverend George A. Brown Memorial School, a Roman Catholic parochial school in Our Lady of the Lake parish, offers programs for children in pre-school through eighth grade.
