Turner named assistant VP at Sussex Bank

ROCKAWAY — Derrick Turner has been named an assistant vice president and senior bank secrecy act analyst of the Compliance Dept.

Turner has more than 18 years of experience in various aspects of the banking industry. The last 10 years were focused in BSA and anti-money laundering compliance.

Turner has held positions with United Financial at Hudson United/TD Bank and also with Oritani Bank. Additionally, he obtained certificates from the New Jersey Bankers Association for BSA/AML & Banking Security as well as the ESI International through George Washington University for Project Leadership, Management and Communications.

Turner, who is a native of Alabama, moved to New Jersey in 1988 and resides in Ringwood with his wife, Carolyn, and daughter Kendra.
