Sussex Community College signs deal with Montclair State

    Sussex County Community College and Montclair State University struck a deal to make credits transferable in the four-year school's College of of Science and Mathematics.

    An SCCC associate in science degree will be fully transferable as the first two years of a baccalaureate of science degree program at MSU toward the following majors in MSU’s College of Science and Mathematics: Marine Biology and Coastal Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Geoscience, Molecular Biology.

    SCCC students must earn their A.S. degree and major in either Biology, Chemistry or Geology and maintain a minimum grade point average to be eligible for admission to the MSU programs.

    “Thanks to the support of our faculty and staff and the faculty and staff at MSU, we have been able to carefully align our science curricula with that of Montclair State University’s College of Science and Mathematics to add this new articulation agreement to our growing roster of joint academic programs," Interim Dean of Business, Math, Science and Law Peter Schoch said.
