Students from Immaculate Conception Regional School presented $300 to Father William Collins of St. Jude's Parish in Hamburg to support his charities.

Collins was grand marshal of the Newton St. Patrick's Day parade on Saturday and, in his position as grand marshall, he was able to designate a charity or charities to benefit from the fundraising dinner associated with the parade.

Collins' choices were Birth Haven Shelter and HOme for Young Mothers in Newton and the planned Northern N.J. Veterans Memorial Cemetery to be located in Sussex County.
