Sportsman group forced to cancel fishing derby

AUGUSTA — The Sussex County Federation of Sportsman’s Clubs has canceled its fishing derby scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, due to safety concerns caused by the extremely low water level in the pond at the state fairgrounds.

The group intends to reschedule the event for May 2016.
