Pumpkin season
| 28 Sep 2016 | 11:52
PHOTO BY CHRIS WYMAN Vernon's Heaven Hill Farm is already geared up for October and pumpkin picking season. According to owner Martin Theobald, there are 15 acres of a variety of pumpkins ready to be collected in the fields north of the farm. Although most of the pumpkins are the traditional orange color, the field includes a variety of gourds and pumpkins that are even pale blue and white in color. Hayrides to the fields have already started and there are large wheelbarrows and wagons in the fields to help visitors. Many of the pumpkins have already been cut from their vines or visitors may cut their own.
