Ogdensburg students honor veterans

OGDENSBURG — The Ogdensburg School held an assembly on Monday, Nov. 10 in honor of Veterans Day.

About 25 veterans from the area Veterans of Foreign Wars post and family members of Ogdensburg students were honored.

Assistant Principal Stephanie Bonaparte gave the welcome address, followed by retired Chief George Lott, who delivered the opening comments. Students from different grade levels all participated by offering their thoughts on Veterans Day.

The Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and the local VFW made the event an unforgettable success

The Ogdensburg School Band and Chorus performed under the direction of Ray DeLear adding to the special evening.

Superintendent Ernie Palestis acknowledged and honored the veterans for their service. Supervisor Michelle Telischak closed the ceremony.
