VERNON — The gardens and grounds of Meadowburn Farm were once again opened for self-guided tours.
Saturday was only the second time the Gerard Family estate was opened to the public this year. Only two more such days are scheduled for this year on July 30 and Sept. 24. For those who missed a visit, if you are marking your calendars, also make a note to bring your camera as well. Located on Meadowburn Road, the farm has been owned by the Gerard family since 1930 and is comprised of some 590 acres.
There were numerous attractions open for visitors including the new Meadow Trail that takes visitors into a distant meadow with thousands of wild flowers.
