| 14 Mar 2016 | 01:48

This Shell Steak dinner with all the fixings at the Franklin American Legion Post 132 on Saturday, Mmarch 26, from 6-10 p.m.

Shell steaks are carved on site and cooked to order for each person. The cost will be $30 and includes a full-course dinner with dessert and coffee; beer, wine and soda. The bar also will be open for those who prefer another beverage.

For the lucky few, door prizes will be awarded. Advance ticket purchase is recommended as this event sells out quickly.

“There are sometimes a few tickets at the door, but it’s risky to wait”, says Rebel, ALR Road Captain and one of many Legion Riders organizing this event.

The American Legion Riders, ALR, are a group of very generous men and women. They work tirelessly for many charities and give more than most people would ever image.

Just recently, with the help of fellow brother/sisters from Post 174 in Wayne, N.J., they received a huge donation of candy to distribute to those in need. From veterans to homeless shelters, hospitals and care facilities, soup kitchens and more. They have given their time and energy to finding those in need and delivering the candy to them. Additionally, they have done the Toys for Tots drive and a number of other fundraisers.
