Franklin library to extend hours
Franklin. The Franklin Branch of the Sussex County Library System will remain open until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning in November. The move will allow the library to offer more programs.

The Sussex County Library System has added more evening hours at the Franklin Branch.
Starting this November, the Franklin Branch, 101 Main Street in Franklin, will be open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings until 8 p.m. New hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
“Increasing the Library’s hours of service for Sussex County residents has been our highest priority,” said Library Director Will Porter. “Over the past 12 months we’ve added Saturday hours at three locations, and now have every branch open by 9 a.m."
Porter said more hours and staffing have allowed the library to offer more programs.
