JEFFERSON — The flag was raised at the onset of the 40th annual Wiegand Farm Golf Outing.
The event was held in the honor of Capt. William Carroll, who recently returned from Afghanistan. Carroll also was honored by the Department for Persons with Disabilities and the Diocese of Paterson for his service to the U.S. He also received letters of commendation from the Rev. Arthur J. Serratelli, bishop of Paterson and Gov. Chris Christie.
