American Enterprise Day is celebrated nationally on Nov. 15 by Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL).
As the vocational student organization designated to communicate the free enterprise message, the celebration of this day provides a vehicle for interaction between FBLA-PBL members and the community.
Twenty-six members of the Wallkill Valley Regional High School chapter of FBLA participated in a mini-assembly in recognition of American Enterprise Day. Michael Brick, Wallkill Valley Regional High School and Rutgers University graduate and former FBLA member, gave an inspirational presentation of his experiences in high school and college as well as his career path to a position at Selective Insurance in Branchville. Michael enlightened the students with the internships and trainee programs available at Selective as well as the tremendous opportunities within the company.
At the conclusion of the mini-assembly, FBLA Co-Presidents Zachery Dora and Garett Koch recognized his commitment to leadership and the Wallkill Valley FBLA chapter members; Michael Brick will be recognized at the 2019 FBLA State Leadership Conference as the chapter’s Volunteer of the Year.
