Congratulations are in order for Sussex County Technical School’s Culinary Arts students and their instructors who recently competed in the 2019 NJAC Annual Cook-Off in Atlantic City. Culinary Instructors Chef Neil Trimper and Chef Chad Gasiorek, along with six of their students, won first place in the Food Presentation Category and first place in the Station Display category. There were 12 other NJ county technical schools in the competition.
Each team was asked to set-up a booth and serve 350 portions of a dish that represented their county. Part of the Station Display award was based on the students’ professionalism and knowledge of what there were serving and how it represented their County. Sussex Tech’s entry was “Sussex Tech Farm Stand.” They served a braised quail leg and stuffed quail breast.
With the help of the Sussex Tech’s Carpentry, Commercial Arts, Graphic Arts, and Welding instructors and students, the booth looked amazing.
