Birthday boxes planned for food pantry
SPARTA. The Sussex County Association of Realtors’ Community Outreach Committee has formed a partnership with the Sussex County Department of Social Services Food Pantry.

The Sussex County Association of Realtors’ (SCAR) Community Outreach Committee has formed a partnership with the Sussex County Department of Social Services Food Pantry to provide birthday boxes.
Each birthday box will hold all the food items needed to bake a birthday cake, including cake mix, icing, even a tin to bake it in. They also will have a blank birthday card, balloons and other celebratory items.
Needed donations are disposable 13-inch-by-9-inch cake pans with plastic lids, boxes of cake mix, bags of balloons, boxes of candles, cans of Sprite, Happy Birthday banners, jars of frosting (preferably with sprinkles) and birthday cards.
Donations may be dropped off at SCAR office, 351 Sparta Ave. Suite 101A, Sparta.
Co-chairwoman Julie Fox said, “Every child deserves to have their birthday celebrated!”
Monetary donations are welcome and will be used to purchase supplies needed to complete the birthday boxes.
