TRENTON — Senator Steve Oroho (R-Sussex, Warren, Morris) was named “Legislator of the Year” by the Arc of New Jersey for his commitment to people with developmental disabilities and their families.
“I’m so honored to receive this award from such a great organization,” Senator Oroho said. “The Arc provides a vital service for so many people in this state, and I’m happy to do whatever I can to support them.”
Arc operates a number of programs statewide that help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by supporting their inclusion and participation in their communities. They also advocate for these individuals by helping to develop public policy, laws and regulations that support them.
Oroho was selected as Legislator of the Year for his “wonderful work which helps individuals with developmental disabilities and their families every day.” He was honored at an awards dinner Monday, Oct. 16.
“We need to work together to ensure these fantastic individuals have every opportunity they need to reach their full potential,” Senator Oroho said. “I look forward to working with the Arc in the future to help people all over the state succeed.”
