OAK RIDGE — The American Legion Post 423, Oak Ridge, will have a memorial service for Veterans at the post on Monday in observance of Memorial Day.
It will begin with the Color Guard and the Firing Squad visiting the St. Thomas Cemetery for a service given by Commander Mehandra Lakhicharran. They will visit several other cemeteries in the area and return to the Post.
At noon, a service will be held at the Post on Legion Road and will be conducted by the commander. The guest speaker will be Lt. Col Brian J. Gruchacz from Picatinny Arsenal. A tree, donated by Michael Mele and Lorraine Rosen, will be dedicated in memory of those who have served in the Armed Forces of our country.
Refreshments will be served in the Post when the service is concluded. Everyone in invited to attend.
